Susan Walker

Hygienist

Born and raised in the community of Lunenburg, Susan attended Centre Consolidated School, then studied at the Dalhousie University School of Dental Hygiene, graduating with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene in 1986. Through part-time studies, Susan received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies from Mount Saint Vincent University in 1996. She began working with Dr. Draper in 1993 in a jovial environment friendly to all. In 2014, Susan added another dimension to her career, working at the Dalhousie University School of Dental Hygiene as a clinical instructor.

Susan believes that the greatest service to patients is to provide the knowledge to empower them with the skills to maintain their own oral hygiene, thereby enhancing overall health. Focusing on education, patients become confident in their own abilities with great success.

When not working, Susan loves walking with her Shih Tzu’s, gardening (lots of gardening in the summer), and practicing yoga. Any spare time is spent in convivial settings with family and friends, the greatest gift of all.
